Um médico italiano descobriu algo simples que considera a causa do Cancro. Mas foi notícia nos EUA e nunca chegou cá (para variar). Bem que o livro de Homeopatia recomenda tratar tumores com Borax, que é o remédio Homeopático para as aftas. Afinal, uma boa notícia no meio de tantas más.
De novo, a pergunta que não quer calar: por que é que a grande imprensa não dá a menor cobertura a isto? Nem na TV, nem nas rádios, nem nos jornais de grande tiragem... Absolutamente nada. Quem os proíbe de noticiar? O médico teve que construir o seu próprio site para poder divulgar o seu trabalho de curar o Cancro (ou, pelo menos, várias das suas formas), usando apenas uma solução de bicarbonato de sódio a 20%. Certamente que os Laboratórios não estão interessados em que esta noticia se espalhe, afinal de contas lá se vão os grandes lucros nos medicamentos que eles fabricam para uma doença tão grave que pode ser curada simplesmente com bicarbonato de sódio a 20% que custa uns simples cêntimos.

Marcos Borges
A musician from Brasil who lives in Portugal since 2000.
His main interest is music...His early start back in his hometown when he was still a child listening to his uncle playing acordeon, acoustic guitar and singing to the children gave him the will ...that was when he started dreaming, music became part of himself and of his life, a small boy that was already sure of his futur...it had to be music!!
It still took him a while to fulfill his dream. He started playing an old guitar when he was fourteen but fastly was invited to play at the Baptist Church he attended where he began learning basic notions of bass guitar and playing in several events.
Marcos studied in Brazil where it completed the 2nd degree of Doublebass;
Course of Chamber music in Campos de Goytacazes - Rio de Janeiro in 1995;
Course of Chamber Music, Harmony and Improvisation Domingos Martins, Espírito Santo in 1997,he perfected and intensified his knowledges with a 2nd Course of Chamber Music, Harmony and Improvisation Domingos Martins in the subsequent year 1998.
After his graduation at EMES - Technical and Federal School of Espírito Santo ( where he got all his tecnical formation of bass and doublebass) he was invited to perform by the Orchestra and became an effective member playing Doublebass at OFES - Philharmonic Orchestra of Espírito Santo with Maestro HELDER TREFZGER and Maestro MODESTO FLAVIO and with special participation of music myths like HERMETO PASCOAL and BADEN POWELL.
He also continued performing as Bassist and Doublebassist at ETEFES-Technical and Federal School of Espírito Santo but at the time as a professional musician.
Apart of this work, he participated in several music festivals throughout Brasil playing doublebass in classical formations.
In Portugal he has been playing mostly MPB, Jazz, Bossa Nova, African Rhythms, Salsa and other Latin Rhythms beeing part of diferent projects and was invited for a special participation with famous compositor instrumentist musician PAULINO VIEIRA and ARMANDO TITO from Cape Verde.
He also was teaching bass guitar lessons at the ST.JULIANS SCHOOL.
With the School he recorded a musical at CENTRO CULTURAL DE BELÉM "RATS".
As a freelancer, he has the possibility of taking part of great musical projects and that gives him the possibility of improvisation and inovation in his sound.
He plays extraordinarly his electric bass guitar but the love of his life is really the sound his doublebass makes surrounding any room and touching souls...only listening you can figger out the geniality of the performing artist...very responsible...very professional...maybe a little too much most of the times.
At the moment he is envolved in a couple of projects including 4ELECTRIC and SAMUEL QUINTO TRIO, that has just released the new cd Salsa..n Jazz.
Musicians are at least the bigger ones...between humans and whatever you can imagine...Something that most common mortals can..t really understand...

Why In Vitro Meat - The First In Vitro Meat Symposium
Why In Vitro Meat?
According to the Food and Agricultural Organization of the United Nations' recent report "Livestock's long shadow - environmental issues and options", global production of meat is projected to more than double from 229x109 kg/year in 1999/2000 to 465x109 kg/year in 2050 (Steinfeld et al. 2006, FAO document). The bulk of growth will occur in developing countries through intensive production systems where economies of scale will cause a steady increase of the size of operations. It is expected that the future growth of livestock output will be based on similar growth rates for feed concentrate use.
The total area occupied by livestock grazing is around 34x106 km2, which is equivalent to 26 % of the land surface area of the planet (Steinfeld et al. 2006). The total area used for feedcrop production is about 4.7x106 km2, equivalent to 33 % of all cropland. Most of this cropland is located in OECD countries, but some developing countries are rapidly expanding their feedcrop production, notably maize and soybean in South America, in particular Brazil. The total remaining area suitable for rain-fed production is estimated to be about 28x106 km2, of which 45 % is forest area (12.6x106 km2) (Steinfeld et al. 2006). Livestock contribute about 9 % of total carbon dioxide emissions, 37 % of methane and 65 % of nitrous oxide. In terms of CO2 equivalents the gaseous emissions from livestock production amounts to about 18 % of the global warming effects. This is more than the contribution from the total transportation sector. Concerning polluting gaseous emissions not linked to climate change, livestock waste contributes 68 % of total emissions of ammonia (30x109 kg/year) (Steinfeld et al. 2006). About 0.13x106 km2 of forest is lost per year and the majority is converted to agricultural land (Steinfeld et al. 2006).
Besides the environmental impact of meat production, large scale farming and worldwide transport of livestock and animal products have contributed to a surge of infectious diseases that not only affect animals but also pose a threat to humans all over the world (Tilman et al. 2002). Moreover, in Western societies there is an increasing concern about the animal welfare issues attached to industrialized production (Croney and Millman 2007) where normal economic principles force the development of production routines where living animals are treated as inanimate capitalistic commodities.
In a business as usual perspective: (i) the spatial and commercial concentration of livestock production will continue to grow, (ii) the pressure on crop agriculture to expand will remain high, and the associated environmental impacts, in terms of deforestation, water depletion, climate change and biodiversity loss, will grow, (iii) livestock contribution to anthropogenic greenhouse gas emissions will increase, and (iv) livestock-induced degradation of the world's arid and semi-arid lands will continue, in particular in Africa and South and Central Asia (Steinfeld et al. 2006).
It is a tremendous political and economic challenge to change this grim scenario into a more sustainable one if we continue to base our meat consumption solely on production of animals. It will demand sacrifices that are probably well beyond what will be accepted by the majority of citizens in developed countries. One way to get out of this predicament is to exploit the potential of modern biotechnology and process technology to produce meat from normal muscle progenitor cells in bioreactors at an industrial scale. If this production strategy were to replace a substantial part of the current meat production regime, this may allow development of a downsized animal production industry which can acquire a competitive edge in the upper-level meat market by documenting that it is ecologically sound and meets basic animal welfare requirements.
An environmentally friendly cultured meat technology rests on four basic premises: (1) the culturing of stem cells from farm animals of choice that are able to proliferate at a high rate but that do not differentiate, (2) the efficient differentiation of these stem cells into muscle cells that contain all nutrients present in conventional meat, (3) the application of a growth medium that does not contain animal products, and (4) the organisation of the muscle cells into 3-dimensional muscle structures.

An environmentally friendly cultured meat technology rests on four basic premises: (1) the culturing of muscle progenitor cells from farm animals of choice that are able to proliferate at a high rate, (2) the application of a growth medium that does not contain animal products, (3) the efficient differentiation of the progenitor cells into muscle cells that contain all nutrients present in conventional meat, and (4) the organisation of the muscle cells into 3-dimensional muscle structures.
The symposium was held at the Norwegian Food Research Institute (Matforsk), Aas, Norway, hosted by the Norwegian University of Life Sciences (UMB) and the Norwegian Food Research Institute (Matforsk).
The two main goals of the symposium were to identify and discuss the key scientific challenges that need to be solved and to formalize an organizational structure capable of binding together the various efforts as well as facilitating the funding of necessary activities.
The talks were given by leading scientists and representatives from industry and organizations in the US and Europe (for further information see the Programme).
The first evening a general introduction was given by Jason Matheny (New Harvest & Johns Hopkins Univ., USA), where he summed up the visions of whys, wherefores and what can be achieved by producing meat in vitro. He addressed in particular animal welfare, in addition to human health issues related to meat consumption and environmental issues. The next speaker was Elizabeth DeCoux (Florida Coastal School of Law, USA) who also addressed the importance of animal welfare, and she gave several good examples of how organizations have forced the meat industry (e.g. McDonald’s) in the US to become more conscientious regarding animal welfare.
On Thursday, the sessions were divided into the different areas of expertise needed regarding in vitro meat production: 1) large scale production of cell culture medium, 2) stem cell separation, creation, large scale proliferation and maintenance, and 3) large scale muscle tissue engineering. In summing up Thursday’s presentations, the main obstacle would appear to be to define the right type of stem cell to use for large scale production of cultured meat, and thus define the end product (ie. minced meat vs. muscle tissue). There is also a need for developing a process technology (ie. large and complex engineering plants) for the efficient large scale production of muscle tissue from stem cells.
On Friday, Bernard Roelen (University of Utrecht, Netherlands) and Jason Matheny presented the ongoing in vitro meat R & D activities in Europe and US, respectively. Stig Omholt (Chairman of this Consortium, Norwegian University of Life Sciences, Norway) then gave a short presentation of the feasibility analysis carried out by economists at eXmoor pharma concepts (UK) (The In Vitro Meat Consortium Preliminary Economics Study). This report stated that it should be possible to produce in vitro meat in large quantities for less than Euro 3300 - 3500 / tonne. This compares with the unsubsidised production of chicken meat at around Euro 1800 / tonne. On this basis it makes sense to continue to invest in both:
• developing the process technology for the efficient large scale production of muscle tissue from stem cells.
• developing cheaper and larger volume sources of growth medium that do not contain animal products.
The discussion then proceeded to the organization of the In Vitro Meat Consortium, where Stig Omholt presented an organizational roadmap describing the vision statement, organizational structure, consortium rules and funding strategies. He proposed that the purpose of the international non-profit consortium should be to promote scientific excellence and to coordinate and fund research contributing to the establishment of a large-scale process industry to make engineered muscle tissue for human consumption. However, since the legal structure of this consortium is not in place, the interim steering committee should continue to strive towards the goal of formally establishing the foundation of this consortium. The original steering committee was expanded to include Jason Matheny (New Harvest & Johns Hopkins Univ., USA) and Henk Haagsman (University of Utrecht, Netherlands), in addition to Stig W. Carne artifical
A organização PETA que todos conhecemos abriu um concurso a nível mundial a oferecer 1 milhão de dollars para quem conseguir criar carne proveta ou seja, carne produzida através de células reproduzidas em laboratório sem que haja necessidade de matar animais para obetermos a carne que comemos.
Dizem tambem que deverá ser uma carne que trará beneficios para a saúde, uma vez que não trará as maleitas transmitidas geneticamente pelos animais, deverá ter igualmente um preço competitivo e ter sabor e textura iguais aos da carne convencional. O prazo final do prêmio é 30 de junho de 2012.
A PETA é uma organização a nível mundial que luta pelo fim da crueldade com os animais e tem mais de 800 mil associados em todo o mundo.
Para eles, "animais não foram feitos para servir de comida, vestuário, cobaias, tracção ou distracção".
A PETA descreve e informa o público em geral sobre os horrores impostos aos animais durante toda a sua criação e abate.

Como poderei eu querer que alguém creia verdadeiramente se insisto em mostrar que sou muito certinha(o), frequento uma qualquer igreja, faço tudo bem aos olhos dos outros simples mortais e aos olhos do Criador...como será que ficamos??...pois é...

Afinal a tua/nossa vida não passa de uma mentira absoluta em que vivemos comandados por ordens sublimares vindas quiçá dos mais próximos muitas vezes transmitidas e usadas pelas escuridão em si para nos endurecer e afastar da verdadeira essência da nossa existência..
A malícia - é díficil fechar a boca sem estar a criticar continuamente o próximo;
Julgamentos de valor - ui...foi não foi, isso que fizeste??...descança, ninguem é
perfeito se queres realmente saber...eu também já o fiz tal, como todos nós, e faço-o tantas, mas tantas vezes na minha inconsciência irracional/racional que quase agonia..
Todos sem excepção proporcionamos uns aos outros esta mesquinhice açambarcadora de inutilidades e futilidades que só deturpam a nossa real orientação e fogem da acepção à qual nos propusemos inicialmente ser sem sombra de dúvidas CRISTOCENTRICOS...
Então...e porque não?? porque ages/agimos contra a maré...
Queres ser o/a melhor, o/a maioral, é verdade que os sonhos comandam a vida, mas, e quem comanda a vida que comanda os sonhos??
Abre a tua mente...busca os teus verdadeiros propósitos, lembra-te do que já aprendeste e que não deves esquecer nunca mesmo que em certos momentos te sintas cheio de qualquer coisa que fortalece o teu Ego de tal maneira que substima a tua essência - ATENÇÃO:

A beleza na maior parte das vezes, senão sempre está por dentro, coberta por uma fachada talvez não muito apreciada segundo os nossos fracos olhos e irresponsáveis pensamentos mas sim presente naquele indíviduo que surge do nada, sem nada a não ser uma palavra que complementa a falta que sentimos no nosso coração!!!

Samuel Quinto Trio - Salsa ´n Jazz
Mais uma vez seremos agraciados na tarde de amanhã, 28/06/2009, com mais um concerto do imperdível Trio, desta vez na FNAC do GAIA SHOPPING.
O bom gosto musical mistura-se com a fusão dos músicos que quando começam a tocar demonstram toda a sua cumplicidade...todos os sons, cada improvisão é como que estivesse combinada, tal a recíprocidade de desempenho, o conhecimento de cada nota, o embrenhar com paixão a cada nova melodia...
E que melodia...
Não podemos esperar senão ansiosamente que mais um concerto comece pois sabemos de antemão que cada um é diferente do anterior o que faz da musicalidade do Trio uma experiência expontânea, enérgica, contagiante e diria quase viciante que nos leva a perseguí-los no intuito de enriquecer o ego musical.
Ainda a simpatia de cada elemento que sem qualquer tipo de pretenciosismo, disfruta com a sua plateia de um bom momento tornando cada elemento do público um amigo, no final é possivel adquirir o cd autografado com todo o afecto e respeito pelos seus admiradores!!

Michael Jackson dead at 50

Michael Jackson dead at 50
The news comes as Jackson, 50, was attempting a comeback after years of tabloid headlines, most notably his trial and acquittal on child molestation charges.
In May, The Times reported that Jackson had rented the Bel-Air residence and was rehearsing for a series of 50 sold-out shows in London's O2 Arena. Jackson had won the backing of two billionaires to get the so-called "King of Pop" back on stage.
His backers envision the shows at AEG's O2 as an audition for a career rebirth that could ultimately encompass a three-year world tour, a new album, movies, a Graceland-like museum, musical revues in Las Vegas and Macau, and even a "Thriller" casino. Such a rebound could wipe out Jackson's massive debt.
At 2:12 p.m.: Paramedics were called to a home in the 100 block of Carolwood Drive off Sunset Boulevard. Jackson had rented the Bel-Air home for $100,000 a month. It was described as a French chateau estate built in 2002 with seven bedrooms, 13 bathrooms, 12 fireplaces and a theater.
The home is about 2 1/2 miles, about a six-minute drive, from UCLA Medical Center. An earlier version of this post incorrectly described the time to travel between the home and hospital as two minutes.
Jackson was rushed to Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center this afternoon by Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics.
Fire Capt. Steve Ruda said paramedics responded to a call at Jackson's home at 12:26 p.m. He was not breathing when they arrived. The paramedics performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation and took him to the hospital, Ruda told The Times.
Updated at 2:46 p.m.: Jackson is in a coma and his family is arriving at his bedside, a law enforcement source told The Times.
